"It's not just a rock" is a series of three ceramic mugs adorned with small stones, exploring how the value of objects changes. In this work, I embody the idea that the fact of possession gives familiar items a deep personal significance and warmth, creating a special bond with their owner.

The combination of clay and stone, both coming from the earth, underscores a deep connection to nature. The contrasting tactile sensations of the smoothness of the glaze and the roughness of the stone create a unique aesthetic and functional harmony. This unity shows the earth's tenderness and generosity, inviting the viewer to feel a deep connection to nature and to rethink our relationship with the surrounding world and its gifts.
